"History is a living horse laughing at a wooden horse. History is a wind blowing where it listeth. History is no sure thing to bet on. History is a box of tricks with a lost key. History is a labyrinth of doors with sliding panels, a book of ciphers with the code in a cave of the Saragossa sea. History says, if it pleases, Excuse me, I beg your pardon, it will never happen again if I can help it."

—Carl Sandburg (1878-1967) American writer known for free verse, Smoke and Steel

A group of 8 students from the Waldorf Theatre Company at Waldorf College, located in Forest City, Iowa, will be here to present The Tempest by William Shakespeare.  The Tempest is a story of freedom, repentance, and forgiveness, the play centers on the magician Prospero and his daughter Miranda. Banished to a deserted island, Prospero uses magic to conjure a storm and ship wreck the men responsible for his banishment on the same island. Various plots against the main characters fail throughout the play, with all forgiven in the end.
